Welcome back to another episode of The King Zone Podcast with a milestone show as the podcast has reached 30 episodes! Episode 30 is a big one as we cover three big films adapted from King’s work all released in 1983 with Christine (1983), The Dead Zone (1983) and Cujo (1983). With such a grand line up of films to discuss, Super Marcey and Bede Jermyn are here along with two special guests both making their debut on The King Zone with Lee Gambin (Author of Nope, Nothing Wrong Here: The Making of Cujo and Hell Hath No Fury Like Her: The Making of Christine) and Aaron Dries (Author – Dirty Heads: A novella of cosmic coming-of-age horror)! Prepare to take a deep dive discussion on all three films and enjoy the show folks!

Christine was directed by John Carpenter, written by Bill Phillips, based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King and it stars Keith Gordon, John Stockwell, Alexandra Paul, Robert Prosky, Harry Dean Stanton and William Ostrander.

The Dead Zone was directed by David Cronenberg, written by Jeffrey Boam, based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King and it stars Christopher Walken, Brooke Adams, Tom Skerritt, Herbert Lom, Jackie Burroughs, Sean Sullivan and Martin Sheen.
Plot from IMDBA man awakens from a coma to discover he has a psychic ability to foresee future events.

Cujo was directed by Lewis Teague, written by Don Carlos Dunaway and Barbara Turner (as Lauren Currier), based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King and it stars Dee Wallace, Danny Pintauro, Daniel Hugh Kelly, Christopher Stone, Ed Lauter, Kaiulani Lee, Sandy Ward and Billy Jayne (as Billy Jacoby).
Plot from IMDB: Cujo, a friendly St. Bernard, contracts rabies and conducts a reign of terror on a small American town.
